P. Knox; Planning, Zoning, and Housing Manager, stated, "On February 17, <br />2000, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and unanimously approved the <br />406 Bridge Street site. At the Public Hearing, only two. adjacent' property owners <br />expressed concerns---one regarding health, and the other regarding insurance and <br />liability coverage. The 409 South College Street was unanimously approved on <br />November 18, 1999." Council Member Roop asked, "What is the collocation capacity?" <br />Mr. Knox replied, "Four at the Bridge Street site and two to three at the South College <br />Street site." Gary Summers, of CFW-Intelos, stated, "Thank you for your patience. I <br />just ask for a decision; I won't comment on either site." Mayor Crabtree declared the <br />Public Hearing open. J. B. Travis, of 401 Fifth Street, asked, "How large is the pole <br />once it leaves the ground?" Mr. Knox replied, '"It is 7 feet in' diameter and 150 feet in <br />height." Thelma Pinkard, of 208 Park Street, stated, "Every citizen deserves to live in a <br />safe and clean community. It's time to clean up Southside. lt~s up to Council to make a <br />decision." Buddy Eanes stated, "If the College Street site is selected, I'll reinvest the <br />first $1,000 rent. collected from CFW-Intelos in landscaping. My wife, Marsha, wilt help <br />with the plans. I received my citation today for property maintenance violations on the <br />property at the corner of Broad and Aaron Streets. We're working very hard to clean up <br />my properties.
