02/04/00 04:26 F_~X ~07 <br /> <br />Consortium Agreement <br />West Piedmont Workforce Investment Area <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />In partnership with the BOARD. the CONSORTIUM shall develop, approve and <br />submit all required workforce development plans for fie WIA. <br /> <br />3.01: MEMBERSHIP- <br />The voting members of the CONSORTIUM shall be the Chief Local Elected Official of <br />each of the Jurisdictions that are party to this agreement, or the designee of said <br />Official. <br /> <br />3.02: TERMS OF OFFICE <br /> <br />The term of office for each CONSORTIUM member shall coincide with the term of office <br />for which the member was elected to public office in the particular Jurisdiction the <br />member represents. <br /> <br />3.03: VOTING RIGHTS. <br /> <br />Each CONSORTIUM member shall have one (1} equal vote on all matters before the <br />CONSORTIUM. Voting by proxy shall not be permitted. <br /> <br />3.04: MEETINGS. <br /> <br />The CONSORTIUM shall hold meetings from time to time as may be required in order <br />to conduct the affairs of the CONSORTIUM. At least two meetings shall be held each <br />year for the purpose of reviewing the state of the workforce development program and <br />services; and, for consideration of plans and/or modffications to such plans as may be <br />required. <br /> <br />3,05: BY-LAW~, <br /> <br />The CONSORTIUM may adopt by-laws and such other rules as it deems necessary to <br />govem its operations. <br /> <br /> <br />
