The Small Business Incubator has been added as a Pdodty 1 project. We have
received a favorable report from the site study committee for the building at 22 East
Church Street and are moving forward on this project.

The Farmer's Market has been removed as a Priority 1 project. This project has
been completed.

Certification and redevelopment of vadous brownfield sites (i.e., Fayette St. truck
terminal site, Stading Ave. hospital site, Rives Road Industrial Park and old
Amedcan Furniture site) has been deleted. Our reapplication for an EPA
· Brownfields Assessment Demonstration Pilot grant was unsuccessful. This
program is designed for large metropolitan, publicly owned sites.

The Rails to Trails TEA 21 (previously known as ISTEA) project remains to reflect
our continuing efforts on this project. We have received Phase I approval for
$75,000 and Phase II approval .for $280,000. We have finalized the contractual.
agreement with VDOT. We submitted our Phase I!1 application for $205,000 in
January 1999. it was awarded. We just submitted our Phase IV application
January 31, 2000 for $250,000. The total is now $810,000.

Priority 2 Projects

There were no changes in the Priodty 2 projects.·

Priority 3 Projects

There were no changes in the Pdority 3 projects.

As the WPPD reminds us the CEDS project list is necessary to maintain our positioning
for EDA funding. Also, the CEDS and its prioritized project list will maintain our status
as a Redevelopment Area. Your review and consideration is appreciated.
