Accept and appropriate $11,038.22 received from St. Paul <br />Insurance Company to cover lightning damage to the security <br />system in the jail into Revenue 01100909-490 104--Recovered <br />Costs for Expenditure 0133 1108-508207--ADP Equipment in <br />the FY 1999-2000 General Fund. <br /> <br />Set a public hearing for January 25, 2000, on a TEA-21 Trans- <br />portation Enhancement Act application' for ~i~s~~ <br />for a multi-purpose trail connection to link k~"' ~ <br />and the proposed Virginia Museum of Natural History to the <br />Uptown Rail Trail. <br /> <br />Authorize a Business Equipment IDA Grant under the Enter- <br />prise Zone Program to Fitness Connection in the amount of <br />$851.66, which is the authorized 50% grant for the second year <br />of participation, from the IDA Reserve Fund. <br /> <br />NOTE: CITY COUNCIL WILL ADJOURN AND RECONVENE AS THE <br />MARTINSVILLE REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR <br />THE REMAINDER OF THE AGENDA. <br /> <br />VIII. <br /> <br />Consider authorizing the Mayor, as Chairman of the Martinsville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority, to execute a one-year <br />renewal Lease for temporary storage of Nationwide Homes' pro- <br />ducts on property owned by the Authority on Rives Road. <br />(See Enclosure #6) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: On February 9, 1999, Council, acting as the Mar- <br />tinsville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, authorized a one- <br />year Lease with Nationwide Homes allowing them to use the <br />Authority's property on Rives Road (the old W.M. Bassett plant <br />area) for storage of its products while awaiting delivery. Nation- <br />wide has requested that this Lease be renewed for another year. <br />This renewal Lease is the same as last year's Lease except with a <br />term of February 9, 2000 through February 8, 200 1. We recom- <br />mend that Council/the Authority authorize the Mayor as Chair- <br />man of the Authority to execute this renewal Lease. <br /> <br />Consider, in Closed Session, in accordance with the Code of <br />Virginia, Chapter 21--Freedom of Information Act, Section 2.1- <br />344(A)--Closed Meetings, the following: <br /> <br />A.
