.TUESDAY. NOVEMBER 23. 1999 Council moved upon motion duly seconded, with all members voting: Vote 4-0; Yeas (4)- Crabtree, Teague, Dallas, Roop; Nays (0)- None; Absent (1)- Haskell, the endorsement and authorized the City Manager to sign the endorsement on behalf of the City. Council Members thanked the two squad members that were present and publicly praised the squad' s recent efforts and commitment in serving the City. Vice-Mayor Teague suggested that the City formally recognize the three individuals for completing the Cardiac Technician Course. Next;City Manager Reynolds told Council that the next scheduled Council Meeting is December 14, 1999 at Druid Flill.q School. 1Vlr. Reynolds said that due to a scheduling conflict, the meeting's localion will be moved to an alternate locatiork The new location will be relayed to Council Members as soon as known. Vice-Mayor Teague suggested reducing the social hour to thirty rrinutes and scaling back on the refreshments. Council Members agreed to the request. City Manager Reynolds reminded Council of the next Work Session on December 2, 1999 from 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of discussing renovations to the Municipal Campus. City Manager Reynolds introduced the City' s Public Information Officer, Renee Wyatt. Ms. Wyatt was previously Director of Public Relations for the Central Piedmont Private Industry Council. She is a graduate of Averett College, and she will serve as a spokesperson for the City, develop media plans, and deal with a wide array of public relations matters. Ms. Wyatt told Council that she was excited about the oppommity to serve the City and looks forward to her new position. Council Members welcomed her to the post.
