I <br /> <br /> City of Martinsville <br />Customer Concerns in Druid Hills & Middle School areas <br />Neighborhood Town Meeting <br /> December 14, 1999 <br /> <br />Water <br /> 1% <br /> <br />Zoning <br />10% <br /> <br /> Electric <br />-~ 1% <br /> <br />Inspections <br />40% <br /> <br />Public Works <br />43% <br /> <br />Police <br />4% <br /> <br />Leisure Services <br /> 1% <br /> <br />As evidenced by the departments involved, the main neighborhood concerns are unsightly <br />properties, dilapidated houses, and inoperative vehicles. <br /> <br />NOTE: Customary public works issues as well as property maintenance concerns that <br />originated in Inspections but have been turned over to Public Works are included in the Public <br />Works section. <br /> <br />The status of citizens' concerns is monitored regularly. To date, all concerns in the Druid Hills <br />& Middle School areas have been resolved or measures are underway to resolve the situation. <br />Citizens making complaints have been notified of status either by phone or letter. <br /> <br />This graph includes 314 actual complaints recorded for this area for the 12 month period <br />between December, 1998 and December, 1999. Of the 3 14 complaints 'recorded, 292 have <br />been resolved and 22 are presently pending with measures being taken to correct situation. <br />Duplicate complaints on the same address are noted on attached report. <br /> <br />Included in this report are all complaints referred directly to Customer Service and it does not <br />include routine calls for service.
