REYNOLDS, JR. <br />City Manager <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THANKS <br />The Partnership For Progress <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Partnership For Progress made a $10,000 contribution to the new City <br />ofMartinsville's Farmer's Market; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this contribution from The Partnership For Progress helped to make <br />possible the construction of this facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the new Farmer's Market will anchor the Church Street entrance into the <br />Uptown revitalization area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the new Farmer's Market will attract promotions, vendors, customers, <br />visitors and others into the City of Martinsville and in particular the Uptown area, <br />promoting and enhancing the revitalization of the central business district; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the new Farmer' s Market will attract many visitors to Martinsville in the <br />. future, enhancing our retail, tourist, hospitality and food service businesses providing <br /> expansion of the tax base and job growth; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular <br />session assembled October 26, 1999, that it does hereby thank and recognize The <br />Partnership For Progress. <br /> <br />Mark A.
