Yeas: (5) Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague. <br />Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1999 <br /> <br /> The Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing Authority then adjourned and City Council <br />reconvened. Under items not on the agenda, Mr. Tony Rinaldi, Director of Leisure Services and <br />Facilities, stated that the City had a large amount of sod for sale as a result of work being done to renovate <br />the playing surface at Hooker Field. He provided details on the availability and cost of the sod, and the <br />times during which the sod could be purchased. <br /> <br /> Council next considered the need to meet in Executive Session. In accordance with Section 2.1 - <br />344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded, and by <br />unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the <br />following matters: <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />A prospective business or industry or expansion of an existing business or industry where no <br />previous announcement has been made of the business' or industry' s interest in locating:or <br />expanding its facilities in the community, as authorized by Subsection 5. <br /> <br />A prospective business or industry or expansion of an existing business or industry where no <br />previous announcement has been made of the business' or industry' s interest in locating or <br />expanding its facilities in the community, as authorized by Subsection 5. <br /> <br />Consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7. <br /> <br />A prospective business or industry or expansion of an existing business or iiadustry where no <br />previous announcement has been made of the business; or industry's interest in locating or <br />expanding its facilities in the community, as authorized by Subsection 5. <br /> <br />E. Consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member of Council certified that (1) only public <br />business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and <br /> <br /> <br />
