TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 1988 <br /> <br />Patrick Henry Community College) and former Mayor Barry A. Greene to membership <br />on the Ad Hoc Steering Committee on Drugs, with Mr. Greene being designated as <br />Chairman and with the first meeting of this committee scheduled~at noon, <br />November 15th, at the Williamsburg Cafeteria; and, Council unanimously <br />appointed Mrs. John L. (Gail D.) Gregory, III, to membership on the Anchor <br />House Commission for a four-year term beginning January 1, 1989. <br /> <br />Unscheduled comments, requests, and queries, from the following members of <br /> <br />Council were: <br /> <br />A. Councilman Cole: <br /> <br />Inquiry as to the status of the licensing program which <br />might be required for the City's hydro'electric plant, <br />referred to in recent correspondence with Attorney <br />Frederick H. Ritts; and <br /> <br />2. Information on educational funding, referred to the City <br /> Manager. <br /> <br />B. Vice-Mayor Williams: <br /> <br />Inquiry regarding a reported problem with rodents, rear <br />of property on Jackson Street occupied by a Mrs. Warren <br />(this matter being referred to the CityManager). <br /> <br />C. Mayor Oakes: <br /> <br />Reference to concerns indicated by certain business firms <br />at to the effect of redevelopment of the area bounded by <br />West Church/Moss/Market/Fayette Streets responded to by <br />City Manager Brown. <br /> <br />Mayor Oakes then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H. ~n, Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
