WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30, 1988 <br /> <br />electric energy needs,'~tree-trimming program, a "fault-finding" machine for the <br />Electric Department, and the sum of $35,000.00 included in the proposed budget <br />for the Electric Department for cost of legal services to cover the cost of <br />negotiating a contract with Multitrade for cogeneration of power, the cost of <br />legal services needed from time to time regarding electric energy issues, and <br />matters related to investigation of "wheeling" power from other sources. <br /> <br />Meanwhile, the total 1988-89 all-funds budget recommended by City Manger Brown, <br />summary of which is included as an addendum to these minutes, including <br />inter-fund contributions and transfers, amounted to $42,856,799.00 for an <br />increase of $2,020,668 (or 4.9%) over the 1987-88 adopted-and-amended budget of <br />$40,836,130.00. <br /> <br />Also, included as an addendum to these minutes is Councilman McClain's prepared <br />statement (dated March 30, 1988) pertaining to the proposed 1988-89 City Budget. <br /> <br />Council unanimously called for special meetings--for further consideration of <br />and action on--the City Manager's recommended 1988-89 City Budget, which <br />meetings are to be held April 13, 1988, April 18, 1988, and April 19, 1988, all <br />beginning at 2:00 P.M., in the Council Chamber, City Hall. <br /> <br />Mayor Oakes then declared this special meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />W.
