Councilman-McClain then pointed out
the alternatives now facing Council with regard to these matters, especially in
light of having received conflicting recommendations thereon from the Planning
Commission (see minutes of Council's meeting held November 10, 1987, MB No. 26,
pages 118 and 119, for the first recommendation), viz., (1) take no action until
after first conferring with the Planning Commission in a joint session, or (2)
proceed to rezone Miss English's five lots to P-2 Professional, as requested.
Vice-Mayor Williams then introduced a motion, seconded by Councilman McClain,
that Council deny Miss English's' rezoning request.
