~.!~ ..... ~ TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1990 <br /> <br />that the City.and County administrations should have a report on <br />recommendations resulting from the study of Emergency Medical <br />Services by the second Council meeting in November. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain stated that he had spoken to a career development <br />group at Martinsville High School and that the students expressed <br />two main concerns: (1) a desire for a. teen center; and (2) <br />treatment by City police officers working as security guards for <br />the owners of "fast-food" restaurants. Mr. Brown stated that he <br />would look into the issue. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA <br />(1950, and as amended), and upon motion, duly seconded and carried <br />by a unanimous recorded vote, Council convened into.Executive <br />Session for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter,' as <br />authorized by Subsection 1 of Section 2.1-344(A). At the <br />conclusion of this Executive Session, Council reconvened into <br />regular session wherein, by a recorded vote, each member of Council <br />certlfied that (1) only public business matters exempted from open <br />meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session, and <br />(2) only those business matters identified in the motion convening <br />the Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered by <br />Council during said session.
