Several members of Council questioned Chief of <br />Police Terry Roop, City Attorney David Worthy and Public Works <br />Director Leon Towarnicki regarding the current parking regulations. <br />Ms. Georgia Lee, owner of Holt's Dress Shop, recommended that the <br />entire Ordinance be rewritten and stated that many people misuse <br />the lot in .front of the Post Office on Church Street. Councilman <br />AdamsI moved that a modification to the ordinance as it was <br />presented to Council be made in order to clarify the location of <br />the lot in back of Jefferson Plaza. Councilman Oakes suggested <br />that the staff study the removal of the word~ "continuous" in <br />Section 12-82 of the Code.
