FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14o 1990 <br />City Manager to execute a <br /> <br />Council considered authorizing the <br /> <br />contract on behalf of the City that would permit Mr, Robert G, Cox <br />to extend the City's water system to property on the west side of <br /> <br />State Route 662 (Clearview Drive), north of State Route 57 (Chatham <br /> <br />Road). Mr. Brown explained that the property is located outside <br /> <br />the City water service areas as described in the City/County Water <br /> <br />Agreement, but that it is logical for the City to provide service <br /> <br />to. this property. Upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous <br />vote, Council authorized the City Manager to execute the contract. <br /> <br />Council considered a request by William F, Franck on behalf of <br />Tultex.Corporation to change the parking limit in the parking lot <br />in back of Jefferson Plaza from 3 hours to i hour, I Councilman <br />Adams stated that he had spoken with Mr, Franck regarding this <br />matter.and that hewas only concerned with.changing the limit in <br />the lot directly behind the Jefferson Plaza Cafe. Upon-motion, <br />duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council askedthe City Manager <br />to prepare.an ordinance which would implement the proposed change <br />for a six,month trial'basis, <br /> <br />Council considered approval of a plan for use of program income in <br />connection with a Community Improvement Rehabilitation Grant, Mr, <br />Brown explained that the State Department of Housing and Community <br />Development .now requires grant recipients to ~develop-.a plan <br />covering. the use of.grant program income derived from loans made <br />from grant funds, This plan must be approved by the governing body <br /> <br /> <br />
