Mr. Erwin Katz then appeared to protest further delay in <br /> implementation of the recommendations contained in the E.M.S. study <br /> and asked why some of the recommendations could not be immediately <br /> implemented. Mayor McClain responded that it was very important <br /> <br />to receive deliberate consideration from all of the squads in <br />response to the study, as they are the ones who are most directly <br />affected by it. Councilman Oakes stated that he disagreed with Mr. <br />Katz' contention that Council had not done anything in response to <br />the study, as members of Council have met with representatives from <br />the M-HC Squad, and that it is important to proceed in a deliberate <br />manner. <br /> <br />Council considered approval of a Resolution clarifying the legal <br />· status"and structure of the Anchor Commission.' Mr. William F. <br />Stone, Jr., Attorney for the Anchor Commission, explained that the <br />resolution was'necessary to clarify the legallstructure of the <br />Commission so that it would be fully in compliance with the Code of <br />Virginia.' Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, <br />Council adopted the/following Resolution: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Patrick County, <br /> Virginia, agreed at its May 1972 meeting to participate <br /> in the operation of a Regional Probational House and to <br /> contribute such County~s fair share of the'first year <br /> cost of the operationof such facility and has continued <br /> to support the same since such time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Henry County, <br /> Virginia, at its May 5, 1972 meeting also agreed to <br /> <br /> <br />
