TUESDAY, AUGUST 14o 1990 <br /> <br />There being no further joint business to be conducted by the <br />Council and Board of Supervisors, this portion of the meeting was <br /> <br />adjourned and Council reconvened in the Council Chamber to continue <br /> <br />with the regular portion of the meeting. <br /> <br />Councilpresented a retirement stipend to William D. Allen, Water <br />· Purification Plant Operator I, Water Resources Department,-13years <br />service. MayorlMcClain expressed his appreciation on behalf of <br />Council for Mr. Allen's service to the City.~~- <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved <br />the- minutes of its regular meeting of Jul-y 24, 1990, special <br />retreat. of July 27-28, 1990 and special meeting of August 7, 1990 <br /> <br />as circulated and amended. .~ ~ ~ <br /> <br />Council considered setting a public hearing on a request!~by the <br />Martinsvitle-Henry County Economic Development Corporation toamend <br />Section VIII, Paragraph C. of the City's Zoning Ordinance to-allow <br />by Special Use Permit certain "light" industrial uses within the C- <br />2 (CBD) Commercial District. Upon motion, duly seconded and by <br />unanimous-vote, Council moved to table.the~request for further <br /> <br />study. !~.~ -'~ <br /> <br />Councit-~IIconducted a public hearing on a proposal to amend the <br /> <br /> <br />
