TUESDAY. AUGUST 14. 1990 <br />and gutter construction had not been changed. Upon motion, duly <br />seconded and by unanimous vote, Council elected to defer the <br />petitions. <br /> <br />Ms. Willie D. Spencer of 111 North Beaver Street and Mr. Johnny <br />Matthews appeared before Council to protest the growth of weeds and <br />brush in lots near their residences. Mr. Matthews presented a <br />petition onbehalf of the residents of the area protesting the <br />conditions. Mr. Brown stated that he would investigate the matter. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded <br />authorized the City Manager <br /> <br />and by unanimous' vote, Council <br /> <br />to execute a letter agreement <br /> <br />permitting the assignment of rights of Pannill Knitting Company to <br />Sara Lee.=Knit Products as set forth in a parking lot-lease <br />agreement between the City and Pannill KnittingCompany dated July <br />1, 1978. .~ <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a quarterly report by the City. Treasurer on <br /> <br />the City's investment of funds. -'.
