TUESDAY. JUNE 26. 1990 <br /> <br />.... ~violation shall be punished as follows: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br /> Class i misdemeanor: By a fine of not more <br /> than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by <br /> confinement in jail for not more than twelve <br /> (12) months, or by both such fine and <br />.confinement. <br /> <br />(2)~Class=2 misdemeanor: By a fine of not more <br /> than fivc hundred dollars ($500.00) one <br /> .thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by confinement <br /> in jail for not more than six (6) months, or <br /> -.:~by both such fine and confinement. <br /> <br />Class 3 misdemeanor: By a fine of not more <br />than five hundred dollars ($500.00). <br /> <br />Class 4 misdemeanor: By a fine of not more <br />than one hundred dollars ($100.00) two hundred <br />fiftV dollars ($250.00]. <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Traffic infraction: By a fine of not more than <br />one hundred dollars ($100.00). <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall be <br />effective July 1, 1990. <br /> <br /> Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved, <br /> on first reading, Ordinance No. 90-10 amending Chapter 18, Solid <br /> <br /> Waste, Article II, Refuse, Section 18-24, Fee Schedule, of the City <br /> <br />.Code. Mr. Brown. explained that the proposed changes would bring <br /> the.tipping fees more,closely in line with the actual volume of <br /> waste delivered by the various categories of vehicles which bring <br /> refuse to the landfill. In response to a question by Councilman <br /> Groden, Mr. Brown explained that, except for industries which bring <br /> Waste to the landfill on a regular basis, the tipping fees are <br /> collected in cash and are deposited with the. City Treasurer. Also <br /> <br /> in response to a question by Councilman Groden, Mr. Brown stated <br />.that cardboard is not currently~being separated from.~other wastes <br /> <br /> <br />
