TUESDAY. JUNEE 26':. 1990 <br />Mr.-~=Brown reported that he had met with the owner of the property <br />in question and had given him 60 days to clean up the lot. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA <br />(1950,~ and as amended), and upon motion, duly seconded and carried <br />by a unanimous recorded vote, Council convened into Executive <br />Session for the purpose of discussing appointments/reappointments <br />to various Boards and Commissions, as authorized by Subsection 1 <br />of Section 2.1-344(A). At the conclusion of this Executive <br />Session, ~Council reconvened into regular session wherein, by a <br />recorded vote,. each member of Council certified that-(1) only <br />public. business matters exempted from open meeting requirements <br />were discussed ~in said Executive Session, and (2) only those <br />business matters identified in the motionsconvening the Executive <br />Session were heard, discussed or considered by Council during said <br />session ..... <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous vote, Council made the <br />following appointments: Planning Commission--Ed Linker,.Shelton <br />H. Blackwell, Jr., Ben F. Gray, Ann W. Marks, and George C. Cox (4- <br />year terms); Commercial Development Commission--RobertL. Canupp, <br />Jr.~ and Becky A. Aydlett (3-year terms); West Piedmont Planning <br />District Commission--George B. Adams, Jr. (3-year term). In <br />addition, Council nominated Joseph Higgins for appointment to the <br />Central Piedmont Private Industry Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
