MAY~22. 1990 <br /> <br />Marshall Stowe, President of the Chamber of Commerce. ~.~:,-~ <br /> <br />Upon request by Councilman Groden, and upon motion, duly seconded <br />andl-by.. unanimous vote, the matter.. of the consideration of the <br />establishment of a 3% meals and lodging tax was tabled until the <br />City .Administration completes' its evaluation of the need for <br />increasing .the City's Police force. -.. <br /> <br /> For lack of a motion to approve, the request by the-City Manager <br /> that funds be included in the FYg0-91 Budget to cover the cost of <br /> rental of-uniforms for operations and maintenance personnel was <br /> denied. =~I=..~i. Councilman McClain stated that he had wanted the <br /> Administration to explore the option of purchasing the uniforms <br /> rather than renting them. Following a question by Councilman Cole, <br /> Mr., .Brown. explained that the City~ currently rents uniforms for <br /> Meter Readers and Water Pollution Control Plant employees ~ <br /> <br /> Pursuant to duly-published notice, Council conducted a public <br /> hearing on the FYg0-91 Budget.
