TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1990 <br /> <br />Center. $29,592 is' being <br /> <br />FY90-91. '~ - <br /> <br />requested <br /> <br />from the Compensation Board for <br /> <br />Council tentatively approved the budget request of $2,000 for the Local <br />Emergency Planning Committee. Mr. Summerlin noted that the program is <br />funded equally by Henry County and the City. <br /> <br />Council tentatively approved the budget request of $1,167 for the Southern <br />Area Agency on Aging~. Ms. Theresa Carter, representing the Agency, stated <br />that therequest was based on $.30 per person 60 years of age and older in <br />each locality. Ms. Carter presented Council with a transportation <br />utilization report, as requested by Council in a previous meeting. I~L'Mr., <br /> <br />McClain noted that the report appeared <br />vehicles due to low vehicle utilization. <br /> <br />to show an <br /> <br />excessive number of <br /> <br />Council tentatively approved the budget request of $12,859(an- increase <br />over figures presented in the Budget proposal) for the Martinsville-Henry <br />County Rescue Squad. Mr. Jerry Campbell, representing the Rescue Squad, <br />requested that Council consult with the Rescue Squad Association prior to <br />taking any action on the E.M.S. study being conducted. Mayor Oakes and <br />City Manager Brown assured Mr. Campbell that all concerned parties would <br />be provided with a copy of the study and that all interests would be taken <br />into consideration prior to any action being takenon the study. <br /> <br />Council tentatively approved the budget requestof $18,658 for Patrick <br /> <br />Henry Community College.
