TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1989 <br /> <br />regular session where, (1) upon motion by Councilman McClain, second by <br />Councilman Groden, and unanimous approval the following people were appointed <br />to the Blue Ribbon Drug Study Committee: Police Sergeant David J. Edwards, <br />Retired Judge J. English Ford, Mr. Willie Massey, Dr. W. D. Prince, III, Police <br />Chief Terry L. Roop, Ms. Helen Schmehl, Commonwealth Attorney Jo Randolph <br />Smith, Jr., as regular members, and Dr. John D. French and Ms. Beverly J. <br />Knight as Advisory Members~ and (2) no action was taken. Each member of <br />Council, on roll call, certified that, to the best of his knowledge, (a) only <br />public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by <br />Virginia law were discussed in said Executive Session and (b) only such public <br />business matters as were identified in the motion convening said Executive <br />Session were heard, discussed, or considered by Council during that session. <br /> <br />Mayor Oakes then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />o awlon, Acting Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
