TUESDAY, JULY 25, 1989 <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Lots Nos. 60 through 78 shall retain their <br />present residential zoning for a depth of fifty <br />(50) feet from their Forest Street property <br />lines; and <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Nationwide Homes, and/or any successor thereto, <br />shall install and maintain "screen planting" in <br />the old right-of-way of Forest Street immediately <br />below Childress Drive sufficient to shield .the <br />industrial plant site from casual view. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that, an emergency existing, <br />this ordinance shall be in'effect on an after July 26, 1989. <br /> <br />The following unscheduled matters were brought to Council's attention: <br /> <br />by Councilman Cole -- the relay of a request for a street light <br />for Sheraton Court, the relay of an indication by Mr. J. Bo <br />Heldreth that he desires to serve on the Drug Committee, and <br />Mr. Cole's recommendation that Council, at its next regular <br />meeting, indicate support of a proposed Smith River Bank Clean- <br />Up Project; <br /> <br />by Councilman McClain -- the relay of a request for a traffic <br />signal installation at the intersection of Commonwealth <br />Boulevard and Chatham Heights; and <br /> <br />by Councilman Groden -- his inquiry as to plans and means of <br />handling/controlling unusually heavy motor vehicle traffic <br />anticipated for the Liberty Fair Mall opening scheduled for <br />August 30th-September 4th, 1989, with Mr. Groden requesting a <br />report by City Manager Brown at Council's forthcoming August <br />8th regular meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Oakes then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />H. ~eak~, Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
