,92' <br /> <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1991 <br /> <br />Acting City Manager reminded Council that a presentation regarding the <br />Courthouse study will be given by the Mosely Group on December 16, at 1:00 <br />p.m., in Henry County's Board of Supervisor's Room. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council scheduled, after <br />recessxng the regular January 14, 1992 Council meeting, a Town Meeting in the <br />Northside area for Tuesday, January 14, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. The Acting City <br />Manager will coordinate the remaining arrangements for the January 14 Town <br />Meeting. <br /> <br />Councilman Williams read an anonymous letter regarding an unsightly condition <br />regarding seemingly abandoned cars in a yard on Third Street. The Acting <br />City Manager responded that this situation would be investigated. <br /> <br />'Vice-Mayor A1 Groden commented on the unsightly condition of a business <br /> establishment on Memorial Boulevard wherein old televisions and junk were <br /> stored under aoblue canvas outside the business. Acting City Manager Heater <br /> explained that initially a runaway car had struck the front of the business <br /> causing a great deal of damage, which the owner was trying to get repaired, <br /> and during the process had stored televisions outside the building. <br /> Recently, however, a second car ran into the building. The owner is now <br /> trying to take inventory and get repairs underway, hence, the reason <br /> televisions/junk are being stored outside. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950~ and as <br />amended), and upon motion~ duly seconded and carried by an unanimous recorded <br />vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose of considering <br />(1)' nominations to the Western Virginia Emergency Medical Services Council as <br />authorized by Subsection 1; (2).
