TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1991
Councilman-Adams inquired whether the City had received a report related to
the City's fire rating from. the State. Acting City Manager Heater stated he
had received the report, but he had requested additional information as to
how the State had arrived at our rating (which had not changed), and he would
report to Council when information is available.

Vice-Mayor Groden suggested that at the January 14, 1992, meeting, Council'
might consider scheduling the other three Town Meetings between January and
June, 1992.

In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE. OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as
amended), and upon motion, duly seconded and carried by a unanimous recgrded
vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose of (1) discus-
sion of prospective candidates for the City Manager position, as authorized
by Subsection 1, and (2) an appointment to the West Piedmont'Planning
District Commission, as authorized by Subsection 1. At the conclusion of
this Executive Session, Council reconvened into regular session, wherein, by
a recorded vote, each member of Council certified that (1) only public
business matters exempted from open meeting requirements were discussed in
said Executive Session; and (2) only those business matters identified i~ the
motion convening the Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered
during said Session.

Council took no action on these matters.

Mayor McClain then declared this meeting ad3ourned.
