TUESDAY, 'SEPTEMBER 10, 1991 <br />In res~pons~ to a question from Councilman Adams, Mr. Brown and Fire Chief W.~ <br /> <br />Lewis Reeves reported on the activities of the City's Fire Inspection <br /> <br />Program. Mr. Brown and Chief Reeves stated that businesses and industries <br /> <br />~within the City were regularly inspected to check for compliance with the <br /> <br />Fire Prevention Code. <br /> <br />Council.requested that City Manager Brown give a report on the final results <br />of the City's participation in the State's early retirement program. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain stated that he would write a letter to Joe Gero, Ex~Jutive <br />Director of the Economic Development Corporation of M-HC, asking that the <br />EDC's report to Council be given at the October 10, 1991 Council meeting. <br />Mayor McClain also stated that he would like to pursue quarterly meetings <br />between the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, City Manager, Executive Director of~the EDC, <br />and selected EDC Board members to review activities relating to economic <br />development. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown noted that this would be the last City Council meeting he would <br />attend as City Manager, as he would be away from the City during the <br />September 24, 1991 Council meeting. Mr. Brown expressed appreciation to <br />Council and to the employees for the good working relationship he has enjoyed <br />with them. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />· Heater, Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
