TUESDAY. MAY 28, 1991 <br />Road should submit a petition to the Administration showing interest in the <br /> <br />project. <br /> <br />Councilman Oakes reported that he had been appointed to a committee of the <br />Virginia Municipal League which will be examining the reauthorization of the <br />Federal Surface Transportation Act and that he would be traveling to Fairfax <br />to attend a committee meeting. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor Groden reported that a citizen had complained to him about <br />children being forced to stand on school buses due to a lack of seats. Mr. <br />Lamm said that he would look into the problem. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain asked Mr. Brown to formally respond to Ms. Betty Jo Martin <br />regarding the concerns expressed to him at the May 14, 1991 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain reported that he would not be able to attend the June 11, 1991 <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />Council decided to begin its June 11, 1991 meeting at 9:00 A.M. so that it <br />would have adequate time to interview applicants for the School Board <br />positions if it chose to do so. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Lance G.
