TUESDAY. MAY 28. 1991 <br />Mayor~McClain expressed appreciation to Mr. Worth Carter, Jr. for raising <br />questions at the May 14, 1991 Council meeting in that his questions led to a <br />better understanding of the budgetary process on the part of Mayor McClain <br /> <br />and Councilman Oakes. Mr. Carter stated that he still strongly disagreed <br /> <br />that the City would save money by participating in the early retirement <br /> <br />program and that the City should reduce personnel by making reductions <br />without the benefit of early retirement inducements. Mr. Carter stated that <br />he would submit a letter to the Administration requesting certain information <br />and would return to Council with a report.
