THURSDAY, APRIL 11, 1991 <br />Attorney =and.. .the Administrative! ~=i=S~xj!~i!i~n the Commonwealth' s Attorney'.s~ <br />OEfice to be placed on leave without pay for a total of 26 days in FY91-92. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith argued that he would be unable to effectively operate his office <br />with this large amount of leave time being given to his employees and <br /> <br />requested that the City absorb the cost of these reductions by the State. <br /> <br /> Mr. Smith noted that his Administrative Assistant would be resigning as of <br /> <br />· ..May 1, 1991 and that he did not know what the effect of this would be on net. <br /> <br />local costs. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council <br /> <br />decided.to delay action on this budget and requested that Mr. Smith meet with <br />Mr. Brown in orderto clarify the effect of the turnover in this position on <br /> <br />net local costs and on other aspects of this budget. <br /> <br />Council considered the budget request of the Circuit Court Clerk's Office. <br /> <br />Mr. Ashby Pritchett, Circuit Court Clerk was present to respond to questions <br /> <br />from Council. It ~was noted that the net local cost of this Office was <br /> <br />projected to increase by $46 in FY91-92. Upon motion, duly seconded and by <br /> <br />unanimous vote, Council granted tentative approval to the budget request of <br />the Circuit Court Clerk in the amount of $65,492. .- <br /> <br />Mayor McClain then declared .this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Lan Heater, Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
