TU~SDAY,~=..NOVEMBER. 27, 1990 <br /> <br /> be possessed or enjoyed by cities under the Constitution <br /> and general laws of this state not inconsistent with this <br /> Charter. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a report from the City Manager on a settlement between <br />the City and Creative Information Systems Company, Inc. in which the City <br />Manager reported a satisfactory conclusion to the matter. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Councilman Adams, Mr. Brown said that the <br />landfill closure plan currently being prepared by the City and Joyce <br />Engineering would be given to Council for consideration prior to submittal to <br />the Department of Waste Management. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Councilman Adams, City Attorney Worthy explained <br />the provisions of Virginia law related to civil remedies for drug law <br />violations. Councilman Adams asked Attorney Worthy to report his findings to <br />the Drug Task Force. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Vice-Mayor Groden, Mro Brown said that he had <br />met with officials from Henry County and that a draft response to the report <br />from the rescue squads on the EMS study is being written. After the two <br />Administrations have completed work on this~ they will meet with the rescue <br />squads to insure that their recommendations are acceptable to them. <br />Following this, another joint meeting will be scheduled with the Henry County <br />Board of Supervisors to consider these recommendations. Mr. Brown said this <br />would occur no earlier than January, 1991o <br /> <br />Mayor McClain then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Lance G.
