TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 1992 <br />by Subsection 1; (3) the acquisition of real property for public <br />purposes, as authorized by Subsection 3; and (4) the investing of <br />public funds where bargaining is involved, as authorized by Subsection <br />6. At the conclusion of this Executive Session, Council reconvened <br />into regular session, wherein, by a recorded vote, each member of <br />Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempted from <br />open meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and <br />(2) only those business matters identified in the motion convening the <br />Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered during said <br />Session. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council appointed the <br />following individuals to the Joint City/County Long-Term Solid Waste <br />Facility Siting Committee: (1) Nancy Baker, 919 Hunting Ridge Road; <br />(2) Anthony Gallant, 1807 Church Street Ext. #705; (3) V. Rod Berry, <br />II, 1325 Mulberry Road. These appointments were for unspecified terms, <br />as the Committee is an ad hoc group. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council appointed <br />Sallye C. Taylor, 223 Rives Road, to the Southern Area Agency on Aging <br />Board to an unexpired term ending 9/28/94 (replacing Geraldine Engel <br />who had resigned). <br /> <br />Council took no action on the other items discussed in Executive <br />Session. <br /> <br />Councilman Oakes reported on a meeting held August 19, 1992 with <br />Congressman L.
