~RDNE~D~Y, JUT,Y 1, lgg2
There being no other public comment, Mayor McClain again declared the
meeting in recess. The meeting was reconvened at approximately 10:00
A.M. in the Council Chamber, with all members still being present.

Council heard a report from City Manager Earl B. Reynolds, Jr., on the
bids received for construction of space in the basement of City Hall
for the new Henry County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Judge.
Mr. Reynolds stated that, due to a lower bid than anticipated being
received and awarded, no supplemental appropriation would be necessary
to fund this renovation. Instead, sufficient funds were available in
the FY 92-93 Budget in the General Fund Insurance line item due to
savings realized by the recent rebidding of the City's insurance
program.

Councilman Williams expressed concerns regarding a recent shooting
involving a juvenile in the City and stated that a further effort needs
to be made to better deal with the problem of juveniles and guns.
Council asked the City Manager to look into this issue and report back
to Council.

Mayor McClain then declared this meeting adjourned.

Ln~ceG.~He~r,j~C~erk

of Council
