TUF. SDAY, JUNE 23, 1992 a Special Use Permit under Section VIII, Paragraph L.3, of the City'-~ Zoning Ordinance. Council acknowledged an update report on the recycling drop-off sites in which the Director of Public Works stated that the recent problems with the Harris Teeter site had been resolved. Mayor McClain announced that Council would hold its Organizational Meeting on July t, 1992 beginning at 9: 00 A.M. Following the Organizational Meeting, a joint public hearing with the Henry County Board of Supervisors on a Solid Waste Management Plan for Martinsville, Henry County and the Town of Ridgeway will be held beginning at 9:30 A.Mo Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted the following Resolution relating to the City's application to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for a Planning Grant under the Virginia Community Development Block Grant Program: (1) committing the City to contribute $15,000 to the Planning Project; and (2) authorizing the city Manager to sign the appropriate documents for submittal of the Planning Grant application: WHEREAS, at its regular meeting held June 23, 1992, Martinsville City Council authorized the preparation of an application for Planning Grant funds under the Virginia Community Development Block Grant Program, for the purpose of performing preliminary surveys and studies to make comprehensive community development improvements benefiting low- and moderate-income families, resulting later in the submission of a Community Improvement Grant; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session assembled this 23rd day of June, 1992, that it does hereby: Authorize the filing of said application with the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD);
