TUESDAY, MAY 12, 1992 <br /> <br />Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose of considering <br />the following: (1) an appointment to the Industrial Development <br />Authority, as authorized by Subsection 1; (2) an appointment to the <br />Board of Appeals, as authorized by Subsection 1; (3) discussion of <br />prospective new business or industry where no prior announcement has <br />been made, as authorized by Subsection 5; and (4) consultation with <br />legal counsel as authorized by Subsection 7. At the conclusion of this <br />Executive Session, Council reconvened into regular session, wherein, by <br />a recorded vote, each member of Council certified that (1) only public <br />business matters exempted from open meeting requirements were discussed <br />in said Executive Session; and (2) only those business matters <br />identified in the motion convening the Executive Session were heard, <br />discussed or considered during said Session. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council made the <br />following appointments: (1) Mrs. Josetta Thomas, 605 MulberryRoad, to <br />the Industrial Development Authority to serve an unexpired term ending <br />9/26/94 (in replacement of Franklin P. Earley); and (2) Mr. J.A. <br />Gustin, 701 Corn Tassel Trail #2, to the Board of Appeals to serve a <br />five-year term ending 5/11/97 (a reappointment). <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council authorized <br />the City Manager to execute a lease agreement with Henry County for <br />renovated space to be constructed in the basement of City Hall to be <br />used to house a new Henry County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court <br />Judge and staff for the amount of $14,000 per year. <br /> <br />Council took no action on the discussion of prospective new bus~ness or <br /> <br />industry. <br /> <br /> <br />
