Being nominated by peers is a great honor and each
nominee is to be commended for their individual efforts to create a
positive, productive working atmosphere.
Each City employee has the opportunity of making a
nomination for this award by submitting a wdtten, signed statement
as to why the award should go to the nominees with examples of
instances where nominee exhibited "going the extra mile".
Members of the Customer Service Committee (who are
exempt from the award) scored each nomination on a point system.
Serving on the Customer Service Committee are Brenda Pdllaman,
Andrea Ward, Donald Draper, Tim Porter, Wayne Knox, Sharon
EchoIs, Chris Mords, Jerry Ceasar, and Mike Wilson. This award is
not a popularity contest, it is solely about the employee who goes
the extra mile and provides exceptional service in their job as a
public servant. Each quarter, a winner will be selected and those
four quarterly winners will be eligible for the Annual Service
Excellence Award.

Mission Statement - It is our duty as public servants to cream, in partnership with the citizenry, an innovative, responsive, and unified community where
every citizen of Martinsvi!le, Henry County, and surrounding areas may have the opportunity to become self-sufficient, with a feeling of satisfaction and
nride; and to be faithful stewards of the Dublie trust in an effort to enhance the oualitv of life throughout the community for this and future ~enerations.
