TUESDAY, JUNE 22, 1993 <br /> <br />signal lights at the intersections <br />Market/Fayette and Market/Church streets. <br /> <br />of Market/Commonwealth, <br /> <br /> Mayor McClain explained <br /> <br />that, should the Transportation Safety Commission recommend to Council <br />that signal lights be installed and should Council agree with the <br />proposal, it would need to be considered in the FY 94-95 Budget <br /> <br />process. <br /> <br />Charles Roark, 107 Courtney Terrace, asked Council members about the <br />most difficult aspect of being a Council member. Several Councilmen <br />stated that the most difficult part of being a Council member is to <br />attempt to provide citizens the services and projects they desire <br />within the constraints of a difficult financial situation. <br /> <br />Carolyn Beale, 509 Mulberry Road, commended City Public Works and <br />Electric Department crews on their efforts following a recent stormto <br />remove a downed tree and to restore electric service. <br /> <br />Gloria Hylton, 402 Second Street, thanked Council for providing <br />additional local funds for the School Division in FY 93-94. <br /> <br />There being no other comments from persons present, the Neighborhood <br />Town Meeting was ended. Mayor McClain and several members of Council <br />thanked all persons for attending and expressing their views. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved the <br />minutes of its June 8, 1993 meeting as circulated. <br /> <br />A retirement stipend was presented to Robert I. Corekin, Electric <br />Department Director, 21 years service (who was not present). <br /> <br /> <br />
