TUESDAY, MAY 11, 1993
vote of 3 "no" and 2 "yes", the motion to provide an additional
$100,000 to the Schools failed. Councilman Oakes requested that the
City Manager invite the School Division to participate in the
development of the Capital Expenditure Program which willbe updated in
connection with the FY 94-95 Budget. Mr. Reynolds stated he had
extended an invitation both verbally and in writing to the School
Superintendent to participate in the process during FY 92-93, but the
School Division had declined to do so. Mr. Reynolds said he agreed
with Councilman Oakes that the School Budget should be presented in the
same manner as the rest of the City Budget, with capital expenditures
clearly identified. Upon unanimous vote, the FY 93-94 budget was
tentatively approved as stated in the original motion.

Mayor McClain then declared the meeting adjourned.

Lance G.
