answered to his satisfaction. <br /> <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1992 <br /> <br />Mayor McClain resumed chairmanship and recognized Allan Preston, 1003 <br />Fayette Street, who stated that he was concerned about a house located <br />at the corner of Fayette Street and Roundabout Road, which is in poor <br />condition. Mr. Reynolds noted that the property had been brought to <br />Council's attention by Bruce Dallas at the November 10, 1992 Town <br />Meeting held at Albert Harris School and stated that he had inspected <br />the property with the City's Building Official. The property owner has <br />been placed on notice to correct violations of the City Code which were <br />noted in that inspection. Mr. Reynolds stated that they had inspected <br />only the exterior of the building, as the City does not have the <br />authority to enter the building to conduct an inspection without <br />consent. <br /> <br />In other items not on the agenda, Vice-Mayor Adams requested that a <br />report be given on the City's Neighborhood Watch Program and Councilman <br />Oakes announced that he would be attending the Annual Conference of the <br />National League of Cities as President of the Virginia Municipal <br />League. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended), and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, <br />Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing <br />the following: (1) investing of public funds where bargaining is <br />involved, as authorized by Subsection 6; (2) the performance of <br />appointees of the public body, as authorized by Subsection 1; and (3) <br />consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7.
