].62 <br /> TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1994 <br /> <br /> both law enforcement agencies with the <br /> <br /> Management Information System; and (2) to interface <br /> Magistrate's Office as a basis to integrate both agencies' <br /> <br /> files for use in the combined Central Communications System. <br /> <br /> grant application request was$42,000 with a 25% joint match of $10,500 <br /> by the City and County ($5,250 each jurisdiction). The City's portion <br /> of the local match would be made available from the Police Department's <br /> current General Fund or Capital Fund budget. Upon motion, duly <br /> seconded and by unanimo~ls vote, Council authorized the grant <br /> application. <br /> <br />General District Courts' <br /> <br /> with the <br /> <br /> "wanted" <br /> The total <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a financial report for the month ending September <br />30, 1994 in which Director of Finance Richard Fitts noted that, at the <br />direction of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board and State <br />Auditor, the Refuse Fund recognized the accumulated cost to date <br />(6/30/94) for closure and post-closure care of the City Landfill. Mr. <br />Fitts explained that the resulting deficit in the Refuse Fund Balance <br />would be eliminated over several years'as funds are accumulated to pay <br />for these expenses. <br /> <br />It was announced that Council would be conducting a joint meeting with <br />the Henry County Board of Supervisors on October 29, 1994 beginning at <br />10:00 A.M. at the Walker Fine Arts Building, Patrick Henry Community <br />College. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br /> <br />~and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) appointments to the <br /> <br /> <br />
