Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved <br />line-item reappropriations from the FY 93-94 Budget to the FY 94-95 <br />Budget, with the following totals by Fund: $472,831 General Fund; <br />S72,000 Water Fund; 821,941 Sewer Fund; and S301,074 Electric Fund. <br />The reappropriations included outstanding purchase orders and the <br />return of funds from the FY 93-94 Capital Expenditure Program. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved a <br />supplemental appropriation in the amount of $30,000 from the FY 94-95 <br />Capital Reserve Fund to be used to fund improvements to the heating and <br />cooling system in the basement of City Hall. <br /> <br />Council considered authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract <br />for consultant services regarding the renewal of the City's Cable TV <br />Franchise. Councilman Teague and Assistant City Manager Dewey Cashwell <br />reviewed their involvement in the consultant selection process, noting <br />that the proposed contract was a joint effort between the City and <br />Henry County. The Henry County Board of Supervisors approved $17,300 <br />as the County portion of the contract. It was noted that the current <br />franchise of Adelphia Cable extends until December 31, 1996. Upon <br />motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council authorized the <br />City Manager to execute the contract and approved a supplemental <br />appropriation in the amount of $17,300 to be taken from the FY 94-95 <br />General Fund unexpended fund balance. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced that Council would hold a special meeting in the <br />form of a retreat on September 9 and 10, 1994 at the Bernard's Landing <br />Conference Center, Smith Mountain Lake. <br /> <br /> <br />
