TUESDAY. JULY 26, 1994 <br /> <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) an appointment to the <br />Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation Board, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1; and (2) a contractual matter, as authorized <br />by Subsection 7. At the conclusion of this Executive Session, each <br />member of Council certified that only public business matters exempt <br />from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive <br />Session. Council noted that it had discussed two contractual matters <br />as authorized by Subsection 7 in the Executive Session in addition to <br />the matters identified in the motion convening the Executive Session. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council appointed J. <br />Ronald Austin, 110 Farmington Court, to the Board of the Martinsville- <br />Henry County EDC to serve an unexpired term ending 6/30/95. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council authorized <br />the Mayor to execute letters to Henry County Board of Supervisors <br />Chairman Sandra Hodges, Supervisor Paula Burnette, and Supervisor <br />Francis Zehr acknowledging the Board's letter of June 28, 1994 <br />regarding City/County solid waste management options for the future and <br />inviting the County representatives of the M-HC Solid Waste Disposal <br />Committee to meet with the Council's Solid Waste Disposal Committee <br />representatives on August 9, 1994 to further discuss this matter. <br /> <br />Council took no action on the other matters discussed in Executive <br />Session. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams then declared the meeting ad3ourned. <br /> <br /> L Heater, Clerk <br /> <br />of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
