FRIDAY, JULY 1, 1994
accommodate Councilman Crabtree's schedule, the first regularly
scheduled meeting of each month be changed from the second Tuesday at
9:30 A.M. to the second Thursday at 9:30 A.M. Councilman Teague stated
that this would also be a better time for his schedule. A motion to
that effect was made and seconded. Bruce Dallas, 211 Massey Street,
objected to the proposed schedule change, stating that no consideration
had been given to the views of citizens on this matter and that persons
elected to Council should be prepared to modify their personal
schedules to adapt to the demands of being a member of Council. The
motion to change the meeting schedule was then adopted by unanimous
vote.

J=09

Mayor Adams then read from prepared remarks in which he focused on some
issues and challenges currently facing Council such as economic
development, providing quality services to citizens, improving the
quality of the City's neighborhoods, recognizing positive input from
City employees, modernization of School facilities, and upgrading the
City's infrastructure.

Councilman Crabtree expressed appreciation to the citizens for electing
him to Council and also expressed appreciation to former Mayor Allan
McClain for his eight years of service to the City.

There being no other business to come before the Council, Mayor Adams
declared the meeting adjourned.

La Heater, Clerk of Council
