MONDAY, APRIL 25, 1994
appropriation for this agency $22,000, the same level as FY 93-94.

In accordance with the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended) and upon
motion, duly seconded and by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened
into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel matters
under the jurisdiction of Council, as authorized by Subsection 1. At
the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member of Council
certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open
meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and (2)
only those business matters identified in the motion convening the
Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered during said
Session.

Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council set the
compensation for the Clerk of Council at $200 for each regular and
special meeting attended during FY 94-95 (the same level as FY 93-94)
and set the compensation for the City Attorney at 820,000 for FY 94-95
(an increase of $2,000 over FY 93-94).

Mr. Fitts noted that the Administration would be adjusting the budget
of the 911 Communications Center to reflect monies received through the

911 surcharge on telephone service. The request for FY 94-95 will be
lowered from $177,271 to $151,097. ~

Mayor McClain noted Council would consider tentative approval of the FY
94-95 budget at its April 26, 1994 regular meeting. The Mayor and
members of Council commended the Administration for its work in
development of the budget.
