1.28 <br /> <br />TUESDAY, APRIL 25, 1995 <br /> <br />of 1% of salary had been considered. Mr. Reynolds said it had been <br />discussed, but it was recommended that it. be added to base salary. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor Cakes expressed concern regarding the addition of 5 <br />employees under the City Manager's 3urisdiction and requested a <br />retrospective study of the number of employees over the past several <br />years be provided to Council. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council gave <br />tentative approval to the budget as recommended and amended. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) consultation with legal <br />counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7; (2) consultation with legal <br />counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7; and (3) a personnel matter <br />under the jurisdiction of Council, as authorized by Subsection 1. At <br />the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member of Council <br />certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open <br />meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and (2) <br />only those business matters identified in the motion convening the <br />Executive Session were heard, discussed or' Considered during said <br />Session. <br /> <br />No action was taken on Items 1 and 3 discussed in Executive Session. <br /> <br />Regarding Item #2 discussed in Executive Session, the Mayor announced <br />~he ~¥ had been <br /> <br /> <br />
