MONDAY, JULY 1, 1996 <br /> <br />City, lower the cost of government, develop a working relationship with <br />Henry County, and Council's need to communicate with the citizens. <br />Council Member Haskell read a prepared statement which is a part of <br />these minutes. Mayor Adams noted previous working relationships with <br />Council Members Dallas and Haskell and hoped those relationships would <br />continue. He noted the Council was to serve the people and help <br />improve the quality-of-life of our community--we need the input of our <br />citizens to help us do the best we can in making good decisions. <br /> <br />3,8 <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Hankins stated that he felt those present should show a vote <br />of confidence to the recently-retired Council Members--Vice-Mayor L. D. <br />Oakes and Councilman Clyde L. Williams who were in attendance--to which <br />everyone applauded. <br /> <br />There being no further business to consider, Mayor Adams then declared <br />the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Ja~~e B.
