TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 1995 <br /> <br />$47,900 for the Albert Harris project. By a vote of 3 "yes" and 2 "no" <br />(Adams and Williams), Council approved funding of $145,600 for the High <br />School project. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) appointments to the Dan River <br />Alcohol Safety Action Program Policy Board and New River Criminal <br />Justice Training Academy Board, as authorized by Subsection 1; (2) the <br />possible disposition of City-owned property, as authorized by <br />Subsection 3; (3) consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by <br />Subsection 7; (4) consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by <br />Subsection 7; and (5) consultation with legal counsel, as authorizedby <br />Subsection 7. At the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member <br />of Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from <br />open meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and <br />(2) only those business matters identified in the motion convening the <br />Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered during said <br />Session. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council appointed <br />Charles E. Long, Sr., Route 1, Box 562A, Fieldale, to the Dan River <br />ASAP Policy Board to an unexpired term ending April 13, 1996. <br /> <br />Councilman Oakes announced he was resigning his position on the New <br />River Criminal Justice Training Academy Board. Upon motion, duly <br />seconded and by unanimous vote, Council appointed Sheriff Steve Draper <br />to the Board for a term ending June 30, 1996. <br /> <br /> <br />
