MONDAY, NOVEMBER 13. 1995 <br /> <br />the power outages over the November 11-12 period were mainly due to <br />large trees falling in remote locations; (2) Councilman Crabtree <br />commended the Piedmont Arts Association for the concert held on <br />November 12 featuring the Harlem Boys Choir; (3) Councilman Williams <br />commended the City Staff for timely submittal of reports to the <br />Virginia Municipal Group Self-Insurance Association; (4) Mayor Adams <br />reported on the most recent meeting of the Urban Partnership, which <br />dealt with legislative issues; and (5) in response to an inquiry from <br />Mayor Adams, it was noted the City's Noise Ordinance was undergoing <br />review in order to clarify certain sections. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) the possible acquisition of <br />property, as authorized by Subsection 3; (2) the possible disposition <br />of City-owned property, as authorized by Subsection 3; (3) consultation <br />with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7; (4) consultation <br />with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7; and (5) consultation <br />with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7. At the conclusion <br />of this Executive Session, each member of Council certified that (1) <br />only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Executive Session; and (2) only those business <br />matters identified in the motion convening the Executive Session were <br />heard, discussed or considered during said Session. <br /> <br />No action was taken regarding items 1, 3, 4, and 5 discussed in <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br /> <br />
