TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 1998 <br /> <br />At a facility site, the design of the buildings and related structures shall use <br />materials, colors, textures, screening, and landscaping that will blend the facilities <br />to the natural setting and the built environment. The related unmanned equipment <br />structure shall not contain more than 750 square feet of gross floor area or be more <br />than twelve (12) feet in height, and shall be located in accordance with the <br />requirements of the zoning district in which located. <br /> <br />Monopoles or towers shall not be artificially lighted, unless required by the FCC or <br />FAA. If lighting is required, the Council may review the available lighting <br />alternatives and approve the design that would cause the least disturbance to <br />surrounding views. <br /> <br />e. No advertising of any type shall be allowed on any monopole or tower. <br /> <br />f. Satellite and microwave dishes attached to monopoles shall not exceed two (2) feet <br /> in diameter and six (6) feet in diameter when attached to towers. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Federal Requirements. All monopoles or towers must meet or exceed current <br />standards and regulations of the FAA, the FCC, and any other agency of the federal <br />government with the authority to regulate monopoles or towers. If such standards and <br />regulations are changed, then the owners of the monopoles or towers governed by this <br />ordinance shall bring such structures into compliance with such revised standards as <br />required. Failure to bring monopoles or towers into compliance with such revised <br />standards and regulations shall constitute grounds for the removal of the monopole or <br />tower at the owner' s expense. <br /> <br />Building Codes. To ensure the structural integrity of monopoles or towers, the owner <br />of such shall ensure that it is constructed and maintained in compliance with standards <br />contained in applicable federal, state, and local building codes and regulations. <br /> <br />Information Required Each applicant requesting a Special Use Permit for a new <br />monopole or tower shall submit twenty (20) copies of a scaled site plan and a scaled <br />elevation view and other .supporting drawings, calculations, and other documentation, <br />signed and sealed by appropriate licensed professionals, showing the location and <br />dimensions of all improvements, including information concerning topography, radio <br />frequency coverage, height requirements, setbacks, drives, parking, fencing, <br />landscaping, easements, adjacent uses, and other information deemed necessary to <br />assess compliance with the regulations of this ordinance. Additionally, the applicant <br />shall provide actual photographs of the site from designated relevant views that include <br />a simulated photographic image of the proposed monopole or tower. The photograph <br />with the simulated image shall include the foreground, the midground, and the <br />background of the site. An engineering report, certifying that the proposed monopole <br />or tower is compatible for collocation with a minimum of three (3) similar users <br />including the primary user, must accompany the application. The applicant shall <br />provide copies of their collocation policy. <br /> <br />(6) Availability of Suitable Existing Monopoles, Towers, or Other Structures. No new <br /> <br /> <br />
