1.18 <br /> TUESDAY. JULY 28, 1998 <br /> <br />CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 98-9 <br /> AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 92-1 <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session held on July 28, <br />1998 that Ordinance 92-1 be, and hereby is, amended so that numbered paragraph 3. A. thereunder shall read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />A. The City Manager, at the commencement of his employment on March 1, 1992, shall be <br />credited with 10 working days of annual leave and 30 working days of sick leave. Thereafter, the <br />City Manager shall accrue, and have credited to his personal account, annual and sick leave at the <br />same rate as other general employees of the City. Upon termination for any reason, the City of <br />Martinsville shah pay to the City Manager 50% of accumulated sick leave not to exceed 120 days <br />of sick leave. <br /> <br />Council next considered the establishment of a schedule and locations for FY 1998-99 City Council Town <br /> <br />Meetings. Upon motion duly seconded and by unanimous vote Council approved the Towr~Meeting <br /> <br />Schedule as follows: <br /> <br />Septamber 22,1998 <br />December 8,1998 <br />March 23, 1999 <br />June22,1999 <br /> <br />Patrick Henry Elementary School <br />Clearview Elementary School <br />Albert Harris Elementary School <br />Virginia Museum of Natural History <br /> <br />Council agreed that these meetings would all begin at 7:00 P. M., and that all would be preceded by a public <br />reception to be held at 6:00 P. M. <br /> <br />Council's next agenda item was Staff Reports, and Mr. Wade Bartlett, Finance Director, presented the <br />Financial Report for the month of June. Vice-Mayor Teague noted that although revenue projections in <br />property tax receipts had not quite met expectations overall revenues were within $7,000 of projections and <br /> <br /> <br />
