TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1998

Under items not on the Agenda, Vice-Mayor Crabtree noted that a review of legislative actions by the General

Assembly showed that most of the items requested by the City were getting favorable action. Mayor Adams
noted that representatives of the Danville Airport had issued a survey seeking responses on air travel
practices to which Council Members might wish to respond. The Mayor also mentioned that he had had
another conversation with members of the neighborhood near the Royal Oaks Townhouse development, and
that he had explained what the developer could proceed with on his property under its current zoning. The
Mayor said he had also suggested that the neighbors take the initiative to plant Leyland Cypress trees as a
visual barrier.

There being no further business to come before Council, upon motion duly seconded, by unanimous vote,
Mayor Adams declared the meeting adjoumed.

Dewey P.
